Polka dots, spots, dots, whatever you want to call them, I adore them! I understand they are a bit cutesy for some, a little too retro-inspired (a style over represented in plus size fashion for sure). But I make no apologies for these two beauties from UK plus size retailer Scarlett & Jo.
S&J work along side a number of bloggers and brand ambassadors, however I am not one of them – these were purchased due to my need for cooler weather appropriate dresses (i.e I need sleeves!).
Pro-tip: if you sign up to S&J’s Club and leave items in your cart, you will probably receive a discount code via email if you leave them in there for a day so. I do this frequently as many brands employ this as a way to get you to complete a sale. You should also receive a small discount for signing up to the club – so do it!
My practical work choice was the Lollidot 40s Wrap Midi Dress – with its long sleeves, a fairly modest neck and hemline (not that I am overly modest, but it makes winter wear more practical) it was my choice for office wear. HOWEVER.
I have coveted the Lollidot 40s Keyhole Dress for months and you know despite being less practical for winter, I can always wear a cardigan, and a scarf… and a coat if I’m really that cold. I can help enable your own purchasing decisions, just drop me a line, I am pro-level at fashion justification and have developed my advanced skills over many years of shopping… ultimate consumer.
Anyway, pictures speak a thousand words. Both dresses are soft jersey and come with waist ties. I am 5’6/165cm-ish so they both come to a good length even for my taller friends. They also both come in an impressive range of 14-32UK and I am wearing a UK16 in both.
See, I added a cardy! Makes the purchase justified I reckon! What do you think?
