Woah it’s been a while – I have steadily been updating my Instagram (still the best place to follow me) with regular outfits but haven’t sat down to write anything significant in a while. But lets be honest I am more a pictures than a content girl most of the time. So on that note….
This Society+ skirt, one of their own exclusive designs, is making my dreams come true right now. Although I can see the northern hemisphere winter/Christmas influence that doesn’t mean it isn’t appropriate for a rather warmer Southern Hemisphere holiday season. And after years of favouriting black on black (and there is nothing wrong with that!) I am branching out into pastels and metallics and this rose gold skirt just hits the spot. And hey it also comes in navy and silver.
In terms of sizing – you have a fantastic elastic waistband which in my size, 14/16, will fit up to a 40inch waist according to the size chart. However, I really have to shimmy this skirt over my ass and hips, despite the size chart indicating a fit up to a 54inch hip (and mine are closer to a 49inch). So I would consider your hip/ass measurement when buying and perhaps talk to the team directly if you have a large waist to hip ratio like myself.
I don’t know if you’ve ever worn sequins before, but they do have this habit of leaving a trail of sparkles behind you. The way these sequins are applied appear to be hard-wearing and they overlap a bit like fish scales making them far more robust than other sequinned items I have worn. The overlapping also helps reduce scratchiness.
